Diane Hudson

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Certified Perinatal Mental Health Provider (PMH-C), and Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT200). As the Owner and Founder of New Moon Wellness QC, I support adult clients (ages 18+) across the state of Iowa via telehealth and in-person at my office in Bettendorf.

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating adjustment-related concerns, including the anxiety or depression that often surfaces during significant life transitions. I also provide specialized care for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies alongside commitment and behavior change to increase psychological flexibility and overall well-being. To support the connection between mind and body, I also incorporate Somatic Experiencing® techniques into my work.

Beyond individual counseling, I have been presenting at local and regional conferences since 2010 on utilizing mindfulness tools to support emotional health. I attended Western Illinois University, graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration in 2005, my Master of Science in Educational Studies in 2010, and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019.

My practice is in-network with Aetna, Optum / UnitedHealthcare / UMR, and Wellmark BlueCross BlueShield plans, as well as the Palmer College of Chiropractic SAP.
